KHULULA · Circular Value Ecosystem for the Blue Economy
KHULULA connects companies, marinas, shipyards, coastal regions and clubs in one ecosystem for the Blue Economy, built on the idea of the circular economy. So that sustainability creates economic value.
Current project · RE:MARINA
What if a superyacht marina gave more back to its surroundings than it takes? Our white paper looks at concrete options and opportunities for new developments and existing marinas.
RE:FLOW · Digital product passport for the boating industry
With Bluepass we are developing the first digital product passport for boats. The hull is the anchor, and every component has its own life story: materials, service, battery passport, environmental profile, certificates, LCA and AI. This makes value visible across the boat’s whole life, for shipyard, owner, dealer and marina.
Co-creation
We are convinced that the speed of change and the complex challenges of climate change can only be solved together. That is why our ecosystem relies on co-creation with manufacturers, shipyards, material producers, organisations, R&D, ports and port operators, regions, service providers and users. Whoever co-develops is channel and customer at the same time. Our role model is the Eco_Optimist, which won the first German Sustainability Award Sport in 2024.
Our Circular Value Ecosystem
Each unit has a role in the Blue Economy. Together they close the loop: from material to boat and marina to the data that proves it.
Circular materials.
Natural fibres, bio-composites and recycled materials for boats, boards, accessories, equipment and apparel.
Boats that last longer.
Circular boatbuilding, refit, electrification or recycling for a closed material loop.
Marinas that give back more.
Holistic concepts for marinas and their regions with a positive impact.
Data that proves the loop.
Digital product passports for boats, materials and textiles, with Bluepass.
Fibres that become fibres again.
Fibre-to-fibre for textiles and footwear in water sports.
The podcast of the KHULULA ecosystem
People from water sports, shipyards, marinas, materials research and science share how the circular economy works in practice, what it takes and where it gets stuck.
